OS X Keyboard Shortcuts
Even if you love to use your mouse, knowing a few simple keyboard shortcuts will make your life easier. The following are musts for all OS X users.
  1. ⌘ ⇧ A - Opens your Applications Directory.
  2. ⌘ ⇧ C - Opens your Computer's Directory.
  3. ⌘ ⇧ F - Opens your Favorites.
  4. ⌘ ⇧ H - Opens your Home Directory.
  5. ⌘  M - Minimizes the program window into the Dock.
  6. ⌘  F - This command opens the Find dialog.
  7. ⌘ ⇧ Delete - Empties the Trash.
  8. Control + Click - Pressing Control + Click when the cursor is on the Dock's white dividing line displays a pop-up menu with the Dock's preferences.
  9. ⌘ ⌥ ⎋  - Like in OS 9, ⌘ ⌥ ⎋ causes a misbehaving program to Force Quit.
