Dave's Café
What's This?

Well, it's a plac where I can share some of my favorite recipes. Some are adapted by me, based on my personal taste. Others are presented directly as they were passed along to me. I'll give credit whenever possible, my only hope is you find something you enjoy. And when you do, remember to pass your experiences along to others. THat's how food evolves into something new and incredible.
Enough of the preaching, let's get to it.

Tossed Pasta

Ingredients
  • 1/4 lb. spaghetti or vermicelli
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely-chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1/2 cup Velveeta, cut into 1/4-inch cubes

Cook pasta as directed and drain.

Pour extra-virgin olive oil into same pan and place on stove over medium heat. After allowing oil to heat, sauté garlic for approximately 3 minutes. Pour capers into oil and garlic mixture, allow to sauté for a couple moments. Slowly add cubed Velveeta, allowing it to melt in the mixture. When completely melted, carefully stir mixture together. Then add pasta back into the mixture and gently toss pasta through mixture to coat. Serve immediately.
